South Carolina in Pictures: 25 Beautiful Places to ...

Salute to Service @ Parris Island!!

Charleston and Augusta take on the best Military golf course on the east coast.

The Charleston and Augusta tour’s kicked off Memorial day weekend at no better place than The Legends at Parris Island.  As expected the course was in Outstanding shape and the golf was awesome!

The Champ flight battled all day long as the leader changed multiple times.  On a tough day we had 3 Champ guys fire rounds of 76 to all tie for second place behind Mark Woodward who’s front nine score of 35 carried him to the 1=shot victory over Steve Kubik, Jerry Joyner and Robert Fisher with Jerry taking the second-place money with a back nine score of 38 on the tough back nine.

The A flight was setting up for a 5 way playoff as four players posted rounds of 78.  Kevin Hadlock would have non of that as he fired a 5 over 77 to take the honors in A flight.  Rob Schaefer, Andy Balao and Dan Fagley rounded out the top four.

The B flight guys enjoyed the course so much, Andre Banks and Ken McMillan decided to play extra holes as the two finished in a tie for first with very nice rounds of 5 over 77.  Andre prevailed on the first playoff hole to secure the victory!  Sean Metzger rounded out the top three, finishing one shot out of the playoff.

The C Flight saw Jerry Cannon cruise to a five shot victory with a super round of 80.  John Klie’s 85 earned him second place honors by a shot over Robbie Brunner.

In the D Flight Hank Brinegars four-shot victory sounds a lot easier than it was.  Both Hank and Jeff Burkehart were tied going into the 18th.  Hank Birdied the 18th hole to put an exclamation point on his victory.
