Boone wins in Sudden-Death playoff over Ide!

The Senior Tour takes its next stop to Pine Island CC on Wednesday September 18th 10am shotgun start.

Champ & A Flight: (Blue Tees-Championship) moved up to 6400yds (Play these White tees in practice rounds to get the correct yardage (#1, 5, 13, 14, and 18).

B & C Flight (White Tees-Member) 6200 (Play #1 from Club Tees all the rest play Member)

Championship Flight:

Mark Wagner wins the seasons last major in fine fashion firing 73-74=147 for the victory.  Greg Powell shot the low round of the tourney Wednesday with 72 and second place total of 149.  Mike Gentry finished in third with 153 and Bill Phillips was 4th at 154.

A Flight:

Richard Boone and Scott Ide finished tied after 36 holes and in the sudden-death playoff Boone won with a par.  Both players fired 154’s for the 2 day total.  Larry Culler made a big charge on day 2 but came up one shot short in third with 155.  Bob Boettner shot 78 both days for 4th place at 156.

B Flight:

Nolan Elenz & Bill Maryman also finished tied after 36 holes but it was Elenz winning the one hole sudden-death playoff for the victory.  Marty James and Bill Greiner finished just on shot back at 165 and James grabbed third place money on the card.

C Flight:

Bob Talbot held on beating out Jim Wittersheim by only one shot.  Talbot shot 177 over the 2 days and Wittersheim finished at 178.  Bill Sturgeon got third at 180 and Jim Hestikind was 4th at 181.

Hole-in-One:  First ever from Gary Bell was made on the signature 15th hole as Bell cut in a little 7 iron right in the jar.  The hole measured 151 yards from the tees Gary Bell played from.
