Cabarrus next stop on tour Tuesday & Wednesday Sept. 3rd-4th!

Cabarrus CC Sept. 3rd – 4th major 36 hole total score event. Please let me know ASAP (Yes or No) on 2 day event on the Charlotte Senior Tour!

For those of you new to the tour major's mean double the prize pool, double points and your Senior National Championship paid for if you win your flight! Also Crystal trophies will be given away to each flight winner for this major event.

Note: First place in each flight will be your $225 National Championship Fee paid and a $200 gift card from Edwin Watts.

Please let me know (Yes or No) on this event and yes you have to play both days to be eligible for prize money.

Practice rounds are available these days only for just $25.   

Tuesday –Thursday this week only after 2pm back nine holes are open due to redoing cart paths on the front side.  Because of this the course will allow play  Saturday & Sunday (next weekend) after 3pm all 18 will be open by then.  The Grand opening for the course is this weekend so don’t call for any practice times please until this Tuesday mornings.  Thanks for your understanding here.

Tee Boxes:

Champ & A Flight: Gold tees (6400 yards)

B & C Flight: White tees (6029 yards)

Note: Play all par fives from the Gold tees to get this yardage for tournament)!

Championship Flight:

Jeff Brischke won for the first time this season with a nice round of 74 on Wednesday.  John Walters finished in second with 77 & Brad Kroll took third at 78.  Anthony White, Mike Gentry & Dennis McCormac all tied at 79 with White grabbing 4th on the card.

A Flight:

Brian Baker also won for the first time this year with 75 beating out Bob Olsen by just one shot at 76.  Scott Ide finished in third at 78 and Richard Boone rounded out the top four spots at 80.

B Flight:

Ron LaMorte grabbed first place by two shots at 78 followed by Sam Carpenter at 80.  Bill Barnet won on the card over Mike Zimmermann as both players fired 82’s.

C Flight:

Sindo Mayor beat out Bob Talbot on the card with 86.  Mark Denton finished in solo third at 87 and Bill Holland grabbed 4th place money at 89.
