Championship Flight:
Mike Gentry
played in his first Senior Amateur Tour event ever and walked away with a one
shot victory. Gentry posted a smooth one
under par round of 71 which included six birdies on the day. Last years points Champion John Walters
finished one shot back in second at 72.
Bill Hall grabbed third with 73 & Greg Powell fired a 75 good enough
for 4th place money.
A Flight:
Tim Romeo
came out of the gate smoking and captured the victory Wednesday with a 75. Jim Brand grabbed second place at 79 while
Paul Gargano and Curtis Kyles took 3rd and 4th
place. Gargano & Kyles shot 81 &
82 on the day.
B Flight:
Newcomer Jim
Smith held on for his first ever victory as he won with 80. Jimmy Reynolds finished in second only two
shots back with 82 and Toby Tyler was third at 83. Bill Greiner beat out a host of players to
win fourth place on the scorecard playoff at 85.
C Flight:
Bob Talbot
started his year out with a victory as he posted a smooth 86 to win by two. Bill Holland grabbed second at 88 and Tom
Ward and Bill Sturgeon finshed 3rd and 4th respecitively
with 91’s.
