Cabarrus CC Sept. 4th – 5th major 36 hole total score event.  Please let me know ASAP (Yes or No) on this first ever 2 day event on the Charlotte Senior Tour!

For those of you new to the tour major's mean double the prize pool, double points and your Senior National Championship paid for if you win your flight!  Also Crystal trophies will be given away to each flight winner for this major event.

Note: First place in each flight will be your $220 National Championship Fee paid and a $200 gift card from Edwin Watts.

Practice rounds are available weekdays only for just $25.

Championship Flight:

John Walters won for the third time this season with an even par round of 72 on Wednesday.  With the first place victory Walters keeps over a 300 point cushion in the season long point’s race.  Jeff Brischke finished in second with 73 and three players tied at 74 for third and fourth place.  Mark Saari grabbed third place money and Phil Seaman fourth followed by Dennis McCormac in fifth.

A Flight:

David Frye won for the first time this season and did so in fine fashion winning by two shots with a great round of 74. Chris Murray beat out Jeff Wrona on the card playoff for second place, with both players firing 76’s.  Tim Romeo rounded out the top four spots with 78 beating out Len McAlister on the card.

B Flight:

Steve Williams has his best round of the season winning by three shots at 76.  Stu Timku was the only other B flighter to break 80 with a second place finish at 79.  Bob Chandler & Bill Maryman tied at 80 and Chandler grabbed third place money on the card.

C Flight:

Van Storie tied his best round of the season a blistering 81 and with it his index dropped to 13.3 thus moving him up to the B flight for the remainder of the season.  Van knows his game is getting better and looks forward to competing in B Flight.  Bill Sturgeon finished in second place with 86, Bill LoVine was third at 87 & Harold Heath beat out Bill Holland and Stanley Scruggs on the card for 4th place.  All three players posted 88’s on Wednesday in the playoff.
