Championship Flight:
It was a day for going low as the great conditions at Northstone produced some of the lowest scores of the season. Dan Hendrickson set the low number so far this year as he posted a stellar five under par 67. Hendrickson shot 31 on the front nine which included four birdies in a row from 6 thru nine. Three other players also broke par on the day at one under 71’s. Bill Hall grabbed second on the card, Gary Schatz third and Mark Wagner rounded out the top four places.
A Flight:
Brian Baker won for the first time ever on tour by only one shot. Bajer fired a smooth 74 to beat out Malcolm Phillips who shot 75. Bill Barnet got back into the money with a nice round of 78 and Ricky Segal beat out Kevin Harris on the card to finish in 4th place with 79.
B Flight:
Three players finished the day tied at 78 and Ron Ballew got there with a hole out at the par four first hole with an eagle 2. Ballew also won on the playoff finishing first for the second time this season. Chris Black was second and Bob Deaton third on the card. Conway Powell and Brian Harle both fired 79’s and Powell got fourth place money on the card.
C Flight:
Van Storie shot his best round ever on tour a blistering 81 on Wednesday for the 3 shot victory. Bill Lovine finished in second with 84, Jim Wittersheim had 86 for third and Bill Sturgeon was fourth at 87.
