Championship Flight:
Bill Hall won for the first time this season and did so in fine fashion. Hall played the front nine at one under but stumbled a little on the back but righted the ship the last three hole to firs an even par winning round of 72. John Walters turned at 39 but gave Hall a scare as he birdied both 16 & 17 and missed about a 6 footer on 18 for birdie and finished two back at 74. Ted Cox was tied with Hall with three to play but ran into some trouble coming in and finished solo third with 76. Phil Seaman cashed for the first time all season finishing in 4th place with 78.
A Flight:
Mark Saari tour debut was a win something you don’t see much on the Senior Tour. Saari played consistent all day and was the only player in A flight to break 80 with a winning score of 79. Jeff Hughes finished only two back at 81 and Marty James finished third and Brian Baker fourth on the card playoff at 82.
B Flight:
Ray Killian fired a smooth 77 to claim his first ever tour victory. Sam Carpenter finished 2nd with 80 followed by Bob Deaton at 81 and Bill Maryman with 82.
C Flight:
Van Storie and David Cline finished tied with 85’s but it was Storie beating out local Palisades’s member Cline for first place. Bill sturgeon shot 88 for third and Jerry Hoogeveen’ beat out Don Elsass on the card. Both players shot 91’s.
