Championship Flight:

Jim Hunsuck won for the second time this season as he fired a 75 to beat out John Walters by one shot.  Hunsuck had to come from behind as Ken Powers and Richard Krapfel turned at even par 36’s.  Powers and Krapfel had trouble on the back while Hunsuck pared his last six holes to secure his victory.  John Walters finished second with 78 and Rock Pickard beat out Bill Phillips on the card playoff for third place money.  Both Pickard and Phillips fired 78’s.

A Flight:

Billy Poteat took his home field advantage and also won for the second time in 2011.  Poteat was rock solid all day finishing the day at 2 over par 74.  David Poteat and Cletis Dozier finished four back at 78 with Poteat grabbing third on the card. Tom Carbone rounded out the top four spots with 80.

B Flight:

Lloyd Morris grabbed victory for the second time ever in his long tenure on the Senior Amateur Tour.  Lloyd started on the back nine with 42 but really got his putter going on the front side as he shot 36 for a 78 total.  Tom Minor continues to improve his game and finished second two shots back beating out Bobby Poteat on the card.  Both Minor and Poteat posted 80’s.  Jim Hestikind fired an 81 good enough for 4th place money.

C Flight:

A couple of new tour members Dick Hood and Phil Schroeder finished tied Wednesday with 86.  Hood eventually beat out Schroeder on the card playoff to capture his second victory of the season.  Looks like well be seeing a lot of that Chicago Bears garb on the course, Dick’s new good luck charm.  Finishing only one shot back Larry Hinson and Don Elsass carded 87’s with Hinson winning third place and Elsass fourth.
