Championship Flight:

Neal Gaston won for the first time this season but for the second time at Edgewater.  Gaston played consistent all day with two birdies and two bogies en route to an even par round of 72.  John Walters continued his strong play this season with a second place finish of 74.  Bill Hall was right with Walters all day but a bogie at the 18th gave Hall third place money at 75.  Jim Hunsuck rounded out the top four spots with 78.

A Flight:

The A Flight also showed a first time winner this year and again multiple winners at Edgewater.  Toby Tyler won again at Edgewater with a stellar round of 73 on Wednesday.  What made this round even better was that his driver was cracked and he did not even notice it until I saw it on his third to last hole.  Watch out for Toby at Pine Lake I’m sure he will pick up some distance with a new “Not Cracked” driver.  Cletis Dozier had yet to play this year but obviously there is not to much rust on Dozier game as he came out with a second place finish at 76.  Ricky Segal also in his 2011 debut played well with 77 and Bill Greiner cashed in fourth place with 79.

B Flight:

Sam Carpenter extended his points lead with a first place finish on Wednesday of 75.  Right behind Sam were Steve Williams and Don Russell at 77.  Williams got second and Russell third on the card playoff.  Marty James rounded out the top 4 at 78.

C Flight:

Bill LoVine continued the trend as a former winner at Edgewater with his first victory of the season a fine 83.  Jim Wiitersheim fresh off his first ever victory on tour continues to gain confidence and finished second yesterday with 85.  Fran Herr also fired 85 but lost on the card playoff but received third place money.  Van Storie finished in fourth with 86
