A cloudy but pleasant temperate day greeted the players as we headed down south to Lancaster SC to start the local season. With the rain that came down two days prior, made the course very wet. The Greens were still in great shape and the scores were very good.
In the Championship Flight, 2019 Champion, Brian Swenson starts off the season strong with a 3 under par round of 69. Scott Patnode came home strong with a 3 under 33 on the back nine to finish 2 shots back at 71. Bruce Gantt finished 3rd with an even par round of 72. Whit Fairer and Jerry Sennett tie for 4th at 3 over 75. Whit takes 4th by way of a scorecard playoff.
In the A Flight, Local member and Club Champion, Time Woodward claims victory with a 5 over par round of 77. Scott Ide finishes 2nd with a round of 80. Johnny Moffett claims 3rd with a round of 81. Mark Cousar and Wayne Kinley tie for 4th with matching rounds of 82, but Cousar takes 4th after the scorecard playoff.
In the B flight Joe Cannatti shoots the lights out with a score of 75. Charles Mines shoots a round of 77 that included a Birdie and Eagle on a couple of the par 5's. Russell McDonald takes home 3rd with a score of 78. Jim Brand comes home in 4th with a round of 81 and rounding out the top 5 was new member Malcolm Niven shooting 82.
In the C Flight, Darrell Wilson takes home a 1 shot victory shooting 84. Kevin Lepage, 2019 C Flight Champion, takes second with a round of 85. Andre Banks and Joel Johnson tie for 3rd with rounds of 86, but Andre wins the scorecard playoff. Randall Garver rounds out the top 5 with a round of 87.
