Flight:
Jeff Brischke open day one with a stellar round at
four under par 68, with Mike Gentry & Mark Hodges only two back at 70. It all came down to the final hole as Brichke
birdied the par five 18th for the victory with rounds of 68-73-141. Mike Gentry was second with 70-73-143, Mark
Hodges was third at 70-75-145 and Steve French fired and even par round to
finish fourth with 74-72-146. With the
win and 900 points Brischke puts himself with a chance now to win the points
Championship over Mark Hodges going into our last event at River Hills.
A
Flight:
Scott Ide led after day one at 74 followed by Gary
Bell and Tim Woodward at 76. Bell at 156
went on to win by only one shot over the fast charging Phil Vangeersdaelen at
157. Scott Ide finished third at 159
followed by Woodward at 160.
B
Flight:
Nolan Elenz led after day with 75 followed by Steve
Williams at 78 and Bob Deaton’s 79.
Williams would win by only one shot at 153 followed by hard charging
Chris Wallace at 154. Allston Moore
fires a two day total of 158 for third place money followed by Ron Gburek at
159. Williams takes the lead in the
points race over Gburek by only 2.49 points going into our final event.
C
Flight:
Curtis Rosselle wins wire to wire at 161 followed by
Andre Baks with 163. Central Carolina’s
AC Guarino finished in solo third at 164 and Rondal Gibson was fourth at 169.
The last stop of the season will be the at River Hills CC on Lake Wylie on Wednesday September 19th!
