Jeff Brischke, Scott Ide, Ron Gburek and Steve Daniels all
win at Raintree and punch their ticket early to playing in Hilton Head in October!
Championship Flight:
Jeff Brischke was six shots back going into day two but
got the putter hot to win by one shot.
Brichke’s total was 83-69-152 as he was the only player to shoot under
par for the entire tournament. Mark
Hodges was solo second at 77-76-153. And
Tim Smith edge out Jeff Rausch on the card playoff for third place money. Both players shot a two day total of 158.
A Flight:
Scott Ide and Ron Brinson were tied at 165 after day two
and went to the first sudden-death playoff of the season. Ide & Brinson both shot two day totals of
165 but it was Ide getting the victory in a one hole playoff. Phil Vangeersdaelen & Mark Gregory tied
third at 168 with Phil getting third place money on the card.
B Flight:
Ron Gburek shot 81-84-165 for the three shot victory and
the crystal. Houston Shaw from the
Central Carolina tour and Sam Carpenter tied at 168 but it was Shaw grabbing
second place money in the playoff. Herb
White rounded out the top four places and cashed at 169.
C Flight:
Steve Daniels day one leader and Chuck Snider battled all
day at after 36 holes we had no winner.
Daniels won in a sudden-death two hole playoff as both players carded 36
hole totals of 170. Van Storie and Bob
Talbot also tied at 176 but it was Talbot getting third place money on the
card.
