Champ Flight:
Jeff Brischke took home the one stroke victory with 36
followed by Brd Kroll on the card for second Mark Hodges third and Dave Junkins
fourth all at 37.
A Flight:
Gary Bell took home first by only one shot at 20 followed by
Mike Ringuette at 21. A host of 22’s
followed but it was Paul Gargano and Bob Olsen getting third and fourth place
money in the card playoffs.
B Flight:
Bob Boettner also wins by only one shot at 21 followed in
solo second Stan Wetmore at 22. Herbert
White was third at 23 and Ray Schilling rounded out the top four spots at 24.
C Flight:
John Leak and Bill Sturgeon tied at 19 as they carded the
same score on every hole so no tie could be broken on the card playoff. Bill Holland and Sindo Mayor beat out five
players at 20 to cash third and fourth place on the playoff.
Northstone was rain shortened but still n official tournament
with points and prizes being awarded.
I’m sorry that the storms came in faster than we all
expected but all of the groups did get at least nine holes in which makes it an
official tournament. The way we had to
score the tournament was based on the same holes each flight played to gather
totals for each flight. Some flights had
more of the same holes played than others but all the totals on all players are
not being calculated into you tour index but the points and prizes were
awarded.
A personal thanks to all of you who stayed and help me make
sure all the flights were scored corrently and that we did scorecard playoffs
on all ties like we normally do with lowest handicap holes being the deciding
factor for what you see below. As always
we try to get the full tournament in but when play was stopped at 12:15 radar
showed that it would be at least 5 to 6 hours before the system cleared so I
called it after seeing the future radar.
One crazy thing happened was that the B & C flight skins pool ($230) will carry
over to our next tournament at River Run on Monday April 24th.
Also the staff at Northstone felt bad that we could not
finish as I know for many of you it is one of your favorite stops on tour. The staff decided to extend the practice
round rate of $40 for only those players who played Wednesday thru the end of this
month only (Tuesday-Thurday) after 12:00.
Please call the pro shop to book you tee times and still get your full
round in with your friends on the tour.
Again thanks for your support of the Senior Amateur tour and
a very rarified incomplete round something that rarely happens on this tour.

$230 skins pot carry over from Northstone CC so if you play you might hve a chance at probably $500 or more in the B & C skins pot at River Run!

Then the following week Wednesday May 17th the tour returns to Irish Creek CC. Please let me know (Yes or No) for this one too.
