Championship Flight:
Jerry Sennett entered day two 4 shots back but closed the
gap fast along with Mark Hodges as both players tied after 36 holes at
154. The first sudden-death playoff hole
was on the 18th of the South Course which Sennett buried a 20 footer
for birdie to win the Raintree Masters.
Mark Hodges could only congratulate Sennett as he had about of 15 foot
par putt that did not matter. Jeff
Briscke started the day tied for the lead with Larry Griffin but Brischke’s 81
left him solo third at 155. Mike Gentry
was solo fourth at 156 and Griffin was fifth at 156.
A Flight:
Mike Ringuette lead wire to wire as he posted round of 74-81
for the seven shot victory. Gary Bell
and Central Carolina’s Tour player David Frye finished up tied at 162 with Bell
grabbing second place money on the card.
Jim Goulding was solo fourth at 164.
B Flight:
Steve Williams started the day 6 shots back but erased that
in a huryy as he posted a three shot victory at 159. Bill Greiner the day one leader at 77
faltered a bit on day two but finished solo second at 162. Nolan Elenz was third at 164 aided by his
eagle three at the 13th, and Randall Gaston was fourth at 167.
C Flight:
The new Myrtle Beach Senior did showed well as Pat Warren
grabbed first place b y three shots holding on day two with 83-92-175
total. Jerry Hoogeveen tried to real
Warren in but came up just short at 178.
Dan Keddie and Darrell Wilson both tied at 180 with Keddie winning on
the card playoff third place money.
