Champ Flight:

Mike Gentry did something he has never done before; in round two he made 18 pars. Gentry’s 72 was the low round of the tourney and punched his ticket to Hilton Head with a one shot victory at 148.  Jeff Brischke started slow put poured it on late and finished one shot back at 149.  Points leader Mark Hodges finished in solo third at 152 followed by Central Carolina tour player Craig Sturdivant at 155.

A Flight:

Rick Chapman won his first major ever on tour as he shot 78-76 for a 154 total.  Preston Jones also from Central Carolina grabbed solo second at 157 followed by Tom Carbone at 159 and Gary Bell at 160.

B Flight:

Ron Ballew swept the majors this year as he posted a 157 total for a four shot victory.  The two rounds combined pushed Ballew’s index to below 9.0 so he will be in A Flight for the remainder of the season.

C Flight:

Ray Schilling also won by four shots as he captured the first place crystal at 174.  Mark Denton cashed second on the card playoff over Lloyd Morris and Joe Lee as all these players posted two day totals of 178.

Note:  All the information for the 2015 Senior National Championship is now posted please sign up and start planning your trip now.  Any questions if you qualify just email as top 20 players in each flight are eligible and already know some players won’t be able to play so we will take players farther down the list.  If you have won a major this year your Tour Championship is paid for but you still need to fill out the Tour Championship form please.  Also remember to pay soon for the annual Monday Skins game which always sells out quickly.

Cowan’s Ford CC will be the next tour stop on Wednesday September 30th.  Please let me know ASAP (Yes or No) on this tournament. 

Then the following week 10/07 the tour returns to River Hills CC on Lake Wylie.  Please let me know (Yes or No) for this one too.
