Garceau, Eilber, Sufka, Roberts, Lundy, Barker, Kale, Martinez, Adkins

RICK LUNDY HAS LOWEST ROUND ON THE TOUR 73 What a difference a building makes!!! Crow Creek has got to be one of the best courses on the Strand and its new facilities just confirm that. We had a great day and some really good competition …… and our home tour guys played pretty well against the Marine attack, with five players from the Down east tour playing with us. I was great to have them visit and we wish them well. We also had some old faces returning for this season, Carter Counts in the Champ flight and Tom Roberts in the B Flight Senior. We also had 2 new players join us Eric Trama and Dan Farrow both in the Champ flight. In future events Dan will be playing in the Champ Senior, where he will be welcomed. In the Championship flight we combined the senior Denny Adkins with the Open group and he responded with a winning round of 74 and beating Chris Martinez (down east tour) who had a 76, and in third place Dan Farrow with a 77. Martinez played Adkins even on the front side but lost it on the back by the 2 strokes. In the A Flight Rick Lundy had his best round of the tour with a 73, and a tour of his card shows some pretty solid play with a 2 over on the front and 1 under on the back and he won the flight by 5 strokes. 2nd was Dennis Campbell at 78 and a stroke behind in 3rd Jeff Wassil 79. In the B Flight Pat Sufka continues to play great golf and has a 79 to walk away with the win, over Don Joyner 2nd and Greg Hensley 3rd. C Flight Kent Barker from the Columbia tour also had an easy win with an 86 over Ron Payne and Trey Martin. D Flight Greg Reynolds was the winner. In the Senior Division. A Flight Tom Garceau was the winner with an 82, over Mitch Jordon 86, and Rich Geslain 90. In the B Flight Tom Roberts got back to his winning ways with an impressive 81 over Wayne Rhodes 84 and Jack Sudol 86. C Flight Floyd Eilber continues to keep on winning with an 85 over Ray Fesperman and Paul O’Bryant both tied at 90. D Flight Sid Kale prevailed over Russ McElrath. Other winners: PINS CHAMP $55 TRAVIS PERRY, A FLT $85 DENNIS RAUTMAN, B FLT $30 PAT SUFKA, C&D FLT $50 RON PAYNE.
