From Brookshire Blvd. and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. intersection, go south approx. ¼ mile on Brookshire Blvd toward Charlotte.
Turn right onto I-485 (outer).
Take first exit, Mt. Holly Rd exit.

From I-77:
Coming from the Davidson/Cornelius/Huntersville area you will travel south on I-77 to exit 19B, which is 485 South (Outer).
Take that to exit 14 which is the Mt. Holly Road/Hwy 27 exit.
Turn right onto Mt. Holly Rd.
Turn right onto Stoneyridge Dr.
From I-85:
From I-85 take I-485 exit North (inner), take Mt. Holly Rd, exit 14.
Turn right on Mt. Holly Rd.
Go 0.6 miles and turn right on Stoneyridge Dr.
From Charlotte Center City:
Take I-277 to Brookshire Blvd.
Turn left onto I-85 south.
Take I-485 North (inner) exit 30B.
Take the Mt. Holly Rd exit 14.
Turn right onto Mt. Holly Rd.
Go 0.6 miles and turn right on Stoneyridge Dr.
Clubhouse is ½ mile on the left. Convenient parking in upper lot just past the swimming pool.

Championship Flight:
Tom Cone started fast Wednesday with an eagle 3 at the par 5 third hole and never looked back. Posting the lowest round of the season on the senior tour; a – (6) under par 66. Cones round had 5 birdies and an eagle with nines of 32-34=66. Ted Cox finished in second place for the umpteenth millionth time; 4 shots back at 2 under par 70. Cox had it to three under after 13 but a double at the hard par 3 16th derailed any chance of catching Cone. Brad Kroll played in Cones group and fired a nice one under par 71, but he said there was no way to catch Tom today as his game was firing on all cylinders. Ken Powers rounded out the top four with and even par round of 72.
A Flight:
Don Lee has been playing on tour for three years and yesterday recorded his first win ever on tour. Don did so in fine fashion posting his first round ever under par on tour a -2 under 70. Lee birdied his last hole to secure his victory by only one shot over Tim Romeo. Romeo also posted his best round ever on tour and look a cinch to capture his first title ever but when Lee rolled in his birdie putt on #9 Tom had to settle for second place money. Jim Buchanan fired the number that usually wins A Flight a smooth 75 good for third place. Four players tied with 78’s but it was Tom Carbone beating out William Greiner, Terry Lewis and Len McAlister for 4th place.
B Flight:
Don Russell used his local knowledge on Wednesday to secure the victory. Russell and Howard Rohrer both tied with 76’s but it was Russell nipping out Rohrer on the card for first place. Don Miller cashed for the first time this season with 77 and Dave Courtright rounded out the top 4 with 79.
C Flight:
Another first time winner was crowned Wednesday as Cordy Worth grabbed his first title ever on tour. Worth played his best round of the season and one by only one shot posting a career tour best score of 81. Right behind Worth was Triad’s Rob Leggett at 82. Gary Graham has be “O For†on scorecard playoffs this season but finally won one at Carolina Lakes. Graham and Van Storie both played well and posted 84’s but it was Graham winning third on the card.

Note on the 2010 Senior Tour Championship go ahead and Pre Register if you’re interested in playing in Pinehurst. I have been getting a lot of questions about finishing in the top 15 which actually turns out to be about the top 20.
We want 60 players from Charlotte to compete for individual titles as well as the team cup which we are defending. Some of the top 15 will elect not to play in Pinehurst so then I’ll take as many players below (in order) of finish until we get 15 per flight.
Also we expect over 300 players this year and course selections will be determined on each flight size. So pre-registering would be greatly appreciated.
