Lake Marion

The Charleston Senior Tour headed up to Santee to take on the Lake Marion Golf Course and they was some fine golf on display.
In the Champ Flight, Mike Cobb turned up the jets and played both 9’s in under par. His 32 on the front combined with a back nine 35 was a smooth 67. Easiest one of the best rounds on the Charleston Tour this year. Phil Pfeiffer gave him a run but in the end it was to much to overcome.
The A flight had two guys finish at four over 76 and take to the oncourse playoff. James Devito and Tim Sumption played sudden death on hole 18. Tim was first to putt and missed his birdie and James drained his from just on the fringe. Jace gause and Christian Chapman tied for third with Jace taking the back nine scorecard playoff, 37 to 38.
The B flight was a runaway winner as Keneth Wilheim fired a smooth 9 over par 81 to win big!
The C Flight had a little drama as Dennis Guerrero posted an 11 over 83 to take the lead in the clubhouse with Norm Fay hot on his tracks. Norm had a little trouble on the 2 par fives on the back and that was the cushion Dennis needed to secure the victory.
The D flight saw Cleve Johnson fire a smooth 89 for a three shot victory over his playing partner from Augusta, Alex Gardner.
