Covid 19 update

Having just celebrated our 25th anniversary, the Golfweek Amateur Tour and Senior Amateur Tour are proud of our long-standing commitment to provide amateur golfers the chance to play like the pros in professionally run tournaments. We have always, and will always, focus on producing quality events where people can compete fairly, have fun, build relationships and play great courses across the country. Given the unprecedented times associated with the Coronavirus, we are constantly monitoring the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization and staying up-to-date with the latest information. Our goal is to continue doing what we do for our members.

Our plan is to move forward with our 2020 schedule. Our intention is to deliver competitive tournaments on the best courses while experiencing the camaraderie of our Tours. Our philosophy is to provide you with the opportunity to play and we will continue doing so for the foreseeable future. We believe we can all work together to get through the short-term uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 by staying informed and using good common sense.

We are lucky. Golf is a non-contact sport. We play outside and not in large stadiums or enclosed arenas. We don’t have huge crowds of spectators following us each hole. We believe the best course of action is to let you decide how you would like to proceed. Please consider the advice of the experts and your personal health condition when determining whether or not to play in an event.

Here are some suggestions:

• If you may have been exposed or you don’t feel well, please stay home. Our Tour Directors will work with you to process a refund. Use the Contact Tour Director Tab to find the best way to reach a specific director.

• Wash your hands frequently, use hand sanitizer when available and avoid touching your face.

• Skip the customary shaking of hands before and after the round (no one will be offended).

• Visit the CDC for current information.

• Check our national websites (Golfweek Amateur Tour / Senior Amateur Tour) and the home page of your local tour for updates.

Thank you for your support!
